Y'ohana, operated by Alpha Papa Tango

Effective Date: 06/18/2026  |  Last Updated: 07/27/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Alpha Papa Tango ("Company," "we," "us," "our," or "the Club") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with Y'ohana (the "Platform"). It supplements our Terms and Conditions (the "Member Terms"), which use the same defined terms — Account, Member, Gathering, Venue, Content, Coins, and so on. If you haven't read the Member Terms, those definitions still apply here.

By creating an Account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

(a) Information you give us.

  • Application and Account information: your full legal name, year of birth, and residential zip code, collected as part of the membership application described in Section 2 of the Member Terms, plus your email address and password.
  • Profile information: an optional profile photo, display name, and any bio you add.
  • Payment information: if you purchase a Membership, a Support Contribution, or Coins, our payment processor collects your card or other payment details directly; we receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your payment method, but we don't store full payment card numbers ourselves.
  • Content you post: reviews, notes, saved places, and any photos or messages you submit.
  • Gathering activity: reservations, holds, cancellations, no-shows, and any dietary or accessibility preferences you share to help us match you to a Venue.
  • Communications: messages you send us, including safety reports.

(b) Information we collect automatically.

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and general usage patterns, collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 4.
  • Approximate location: if you enable location services, we use your approximate location to show nearby Venues, guides, and Gatherings.

(c) Information from others. If a host or fellow Member reports a safety concern involving you, or a Venue confirms your attendance or a no-show, we receive that information as part of operating the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • create and administer your Account, verify you meet the 21-and-over eligibility requirement, and process your membership application;
  • operate Gatherings — matching, confirming holds and interest-gauging Gatherings, sending reservation details, and tracking Coins balances and redemptions;
  • respond to safety reports, investigate suspected violations of the Member Terms, and, where necessary, suspend or terminate an Account;
  • process payments for Memberships, Support Contributions, and Coins purchases;
  • send transactional communications (reservation reminders, receipts, safety follow-ups) and, if you opt in, marketing communications;
  • maintain and improve the Platform, including through aggregate analytics; and
  • comply with the law and enforce the Member Terms.

3. How We Share Your Information

  • With Venues. To fulfill a reservation, we share what a Venue reasonably needs — for example, your first name, party size, and any dietary preference you provided.
  • With hosts and other Members. As described in the Member Terms, certain information (like your display name, public reviews, and upcoming Gathering reservations) is visible to other Members so matching and community features work.
  • With service providers. We share information with vendors who help us operate the Platform, such as payment processors, cloud hosting, customer support tools, and the analytics and advertising partners described in Section 4.
  • For safety and legal reasons. We may share information with law enforcement, regulators, or a Venue when necessary to investigate a safety report, respond to legal process, or protect the rights and safety of our community.
  • In a business transfer. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third-party advertisers, and we don't share information that identifies you individually with advertisers for their own independent marketing purposes.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We and our analytics and advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser, understand how the Platform is used, and, where applicable, show relevant ads on partner sites. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where we rely on a third-party analytics or ad-network cookie, we'll identify the provider and link to that provider's own opt-out tools. Turning off cookies may limit some Platform features.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

  • access and update most Account information directly in your profile;
  • opt out of marketing emails or texts using the unsubscribe or "STOP" instructions in the message (you'll still receive transactional messages, like reservation confirmations);
  • request a copy of, a correction to, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at [privacy email]; and
  • close your Account at any time as described in Section 16 of the Member Terms.

We'll respond to verified requests within the time the law requires. We may need to retain certain information as described in Section 7 below, even after a deletion request, where the law allows or requires it.

6. California Privacy Rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) gives you additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We don't sell personal information for money. To the extent our advertising cookies are considered "sharing" under California law, you can opt out through the controls described in Section 4 or by contacting [privacy email]. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your Account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes, enforce the Member Terms, comply with legal or tax obligations, and maintain accurate safety records — for example, records tied to a prior safety report or Account suspension may be retained even after other profile data is deleted.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform requires Members to be at least 21 years old and isn't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we've done so, we'll delete it.

10. International Users

The Platform is intended for use in the United States and is hosted here. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice before it takes effect, consistent with Section 19 of the Member Terms. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the update.

12. Contact Us
